Hi all, i've been on MFP for about a month plus and it has been going really good! I exercise almost every single day and don't usually exceed my calorie intake goal.
But for the past week, I find that I am really attracted to sweet food like cakes and cookies, when I have never been one to like sweet stuff!
I really do try to avoid it, but I live in a house full of girls and everyone always have food around. I've just been eating non-stop & I can't stop myself. :sad:
What's happening and what should I do!?

Try and stay focused. You can do this. Maybe take a look at what your eating and increase something. Fats and proteins are great for keeping you feeling more satisfied.0

when you want chocolate- drink a glass of water and go for a walk down the road or whatever (it can be short) and try not to think about it. when you get back try to replace it with something healthier. Between being distracted and the full feeling you might not want it anymore. works for me!0

I have read that when you crave sweets your body may want protein. Not sure if it's true, and I am sure it's not the same for everyone, but maybe try increasing that?0

I find that if I have a regular (counted) sweet treat waiting for me at the end of the day, I can more easily resist the temptations around me earlier in the day.
When this doesn't work and I find myself wanting to eat treats during the day, I try the 'put-off till later' technique! I think the problem is usually 'eye-hunger'. To cope with this, I put the temptation out of sight, have a drink, and go an do something else - just for 10 mins. The desire to eat does die down - especially if I am busy 10 mins later. It usually fades completely and it is rare for the feeling to be anywhere near as powerful.

Happened to me. Reason? I cut out the soda! I dont eat sweets and don't like them but when I cut out the soda my body waws like "GIME SUGAR!!" I ate apples. They have a lot of natural sugar. lol I would even have a small piece of weight watchers brownie to satisfy it too.0

I like to keep some Jello sugar-free or fat-free pudding cups around. It satisfies those chocolate cravings for about 90 calories, IIRC.0

When I want something sweet, I eat strawberries. I'll eat a cup of them. It does satisfy the sweet cravings.0
