Can anyone recommend a good HRM in the medium price range? Specifically I'm looking for one that will measure calories burned.

    Timex has one that is reasonable.

    I have the Polar F6 and I love it. I comes with a chest strap and I think it was a little over $100.00. Not sure if this is in your budget range or not but mine was defintly worth the investment.

    I have a timex one with a chest strap that works pretty well.

    polar ft4 with chest strap...i just got it yesterday, used it today......it keeps track of time of your w/o and calories burned..... love it...

    Polar is by far the most popular (i.e. highly recommended) on the boards. I love my Suunto though.

    I just went to Walmart to get mine =) anything that has a HR and a calorie counter with a stop watch..you're good to go! Good Luck!
