  • Hi mizzladylisa. The Abs Diet Get Fit Stay Fit Plan by David Zinczenko changed my life. The 'power 12' foods listed in the book gave me a food plan that I can stick with for life, not just a 'diet phase'. I like all the foods on the list- it gives me plenty of variety. So far I've lost over 65 pounds (over a year's time). I've 30 more pounds to go, and I'm sure I can do it.
    (Sometimes I misbehave) ;-)
    I love that book!

Thanks so much Was it was pretty easy to have 2 of of the power foods in each meal?
  • It did take a little bit to get used to the planning. Because the food itself is pretty basic and straight forward, it is pretty simple. I've tried branching out a bit on the foods, but I've found I do much better if the power 12 are the only things stocked in my kitchen. That way even in a moment of weakness, I'm still having something healthy. I don't really care for berries, so I use canned pineapple tidbits in 100% pineapple juice instead with my oatmeal. I also treat myself once a month by going out to eat and not worrying about it.
I fallen off the wagon for a bit, but I'm jumping back on today!
