"No, I wasn't looking at that super hot girl in the short skirt with fishnet tights and her boobs hanging out. You're much prettier anyway."
Yeah, a bit of exaggeration as to what I'm hearing (nobody ever admits that she's hot...)

i was going to say the same thing. Why do people lie to their significant other? Makes no sense. What are you afraid of? Getting in trouble? Your significant other is not your parent. Just be honest. Your character is all you have.

My husband and I don't lie to each other. We are very honest even if it makes me or him mad sometimes. It would just break my heart if I found out he wasn't being truthful with me. I don't want to be in a relationship where I had to check up on him or vice versa, me hiding something. Life is too short for that.

I don't lie, I just don't say anything till he asks. And yes it is about money and things I buy.
Its not that he will be mad or upset, its just that he wants to go with me shopping all the time, and sometimes I just want to go alone. I know I sound terrible because I have a wonderful husband who loves to shop with me, carry my purse and pick out clothes for me to try on while I am I am in the dressing room, but its true.

I don't think this is completely true...my grandmother doesn't lie to my grandfather but she "forgets" to tell him certain things. She might not tell him she stopped at the outlets AND the mall. And I know my grandfather didn't tell my grandmother about the 4th glass of whiskey he had while playing cards with his military buddies...or maybe he got home at 2 instead of 1.

They have been married for 48 years. And they are two of the happiest married people I know.

Just my 2 cents....
