I've been trying to fix my clogged toilet all morning & it's really frustrating because nothing I've tried seems to help!
When I try to flush, the flushing sounds normal just like it always does yet the water level itself doesn't seem to budge so obviously there is some sort of clog going on. I've tried plunging repeatedly yet the water level still doesn't budge & even liquid Drano doesn't seem to be fixing it! Any other suggestions would be much appreciated!

ummmm....
cut down on the fiber maybe?0 -
Check inside the tank. Sounds like maybe the chain is broken or stretched. If it was plugged, the bowl would fill up and it would overflow.0

This. If no water is coming in, it won't force the water in the bowl to go down.0 -

Does it constantly run??0

Check the chain on the inside tank and see if it is pulling the plug up??0

Have you tried snaking the drain?0

Unfold a coat hanger and try dislodging whatever grossness is in there. Just make it as straight as possible and push around to see if you can feel the blockage. If you do and you can kind of budge it, then try the plunger or draino.0

Is fresh water not coming down, or is the old water not draining down?0

Don't call a plumber just yet - they'll charge you a fortune!! First, go to a home improvement store and buy an inexpensive toilet auger. It's very easy to use and will clear the majority of all clogs. Also, take the lid off the tank and make sure there is actually water in there. If the fill valve isn't working (i.e. the tank isn't filling after a flush) nothing will flush because there's no water in the tank to make it work. I just replaced all the internal parts in all of the toilets in the house, so I know your frustration!!0

Have you tried throwing Alli tablets in it?
If it unblocks people I'm sure it will unblock the tiolet.0 -

It happens in this house alot, lol. We use a wire clothes hanger ( or just some wire) - poke it down there few times - works 4 us. Good luck with it xx0

If it's plugged it should be overflowing.0

Flush mid-way through wiping when you have a 50+ wipe job.0
