Hello all! I am 5'2 and I just turned 26. When in high school I was on at least 2 teams at any given time, resulting in a game or practice most days of the week. I was 120-125 lbs when I graduated. In university my activity level dropped significantly as I only played intramurals, and soccer in the summer (my eating habits were no longer countered by a ton of exercise). During my first 4 year degree (Human Kinetics..like Kineisiology) I grew to 148 lbs on average..which wasn't ideal, but still wasn't too bad (I wore a M shirt and between 7-9 pants). Now, after another 2 year degree (Physical Education/French teacher), and 1 year of substitute teaching, I'm sitting at 170 lbs. I'm very disappointed in myself for letting myself get to this point. I still play soccer, but now I find that my weight is catching up with me. I'm not as fast as I once was...my knees hurt after playing for extended periods. I always thought that becoming obese would never be a problem for me...but alas, here I am.

I am not uneducated in this area. I am not new to fitness or living a healthy lifestyle. I know full well what it takes to be fit...but somehow I fell off the right path. I love to exercise, and I love to eat healthy...but I gained over 20 lbs in the last 3 years (since meeting my boyfriend haha..coincidence?). Just looking to communicate with anyone else in this situation? What caused you to "lose yourself"? What have you been doing to get back on track?
