Hiya, I have been doing MFP for almost a week now and it is going really well. First weighin this Tuesday. Anyway, we are attending a wedding this afternoon and I am wondering about the best way to approach the day as a whole. I have had porridge for breakfast like usual. Just wondering if it's best to have a light lunch to make up for this evening (where I can count calories but can't control the type of food there) or is it best to eat a decent lunch so I am less hungry tonight? Any advice much appreciated!

I think it depends on whether you want to splurge a bit at the wedding. If you think the food's going to be really good, or you want to have drinks and cake, eat a light lunch and save your calories. If you don't care about that then have a bigger lunch. You could also compensate by doing some extra exercise.
Unless you go to events like this pretty often, don't worry too much about it. It's just one evening, so it's not going to really blow your diet.0
