I put my scale away for a week, starting today.

For the first time since I bought it in April,

I PUT MY SCALE AWAY.

I’m not going to step, touch or even look at it for a week.

I need to remember that everyone fluctuates between a few pounds.

I should not feel defined by a number.

Because my health is not measured by the number on my scale.

It should be measured in my strength, endurance, muscle mass and definition.

I am strong. I am healthy. And I am beautiful.

    I put my scale, and my calorie counter away for two months...until this morning. Stepped on it, and was within 3lbs of my lightest weight.

    You'll be fine!

    This is awesome! We can be so hooked on to the number on that darn scale. Good for you. Just keep working hard and don't worry about the scale. :)

    I did this for an entire month, it was the best thing I could have ever done. The scale holds no power over me at all anymore.

    Good luck, it is harder than one would think!

    Ahah that's how I feel sometimes too! That's why I need to just step back from it and listen to my body instead!

    Thats awesome Cris. . you are always such an inspiration. . . BUT not to derail. . . . OP:. . I too am going back to only looking once a week. . . We can do it!. . .good luck at your weeks weigh in, and in your overall health and fitness journey!
