I don't have it yet, but I have heard nothing but good stuff about Make It Paleo.

I have heard the Paleo diet is something I should go on to lose the last few pounds lingering. I am an "hour glass" shape that I guess needs less carbs and more fat and protein. Is that the premise of the Paleo diet? What do you eat during the day?
  • Enginette, that is the basic idea but more on eating real and fresh foods and some real foods are on the naughty list (beans, wheat, dairy, nuts (some cases))

I would be curious in a Paleo Cookbook with simple recipes with minimal ingredients. Most I have seen require a pretty broad selection of items that I normally do not have around my house or want to spend $10 on for the tablespoon I need for the recipe.

I saw your post and was intrigued about this "Paleo" diet. I researched it and found that I was basically following it without knowing it. I am sure there are rules to it I am not following but I think I am eating pretty darn close to it. Now I think I would like to get one of those cookbooks too.

I started paleo because I have some sever food allergies and paleo is a healthy way of eating that excludes most of what I am allergic to soy wheat legumes corn sugar milk sometimes I induldge in cheese and still put cream in my coffee and I feel good about having milk sometimes because this is a way of life for me not just a diet. Since starting paleo I have felt so much healthier and I wouldn't go back.

Love the blog everydaypaleo(dot)com she also has a cookbook .

What I like about the Paleo cookbooks is that I have most things in my cupboard.
I am not dairy intolerant or grain intolerant, but I could see the inflammation from these foods.
Took them out and dropped 10 lbs in 2 weeks.

Eating the meat, bacon, eggs, nuts, coconut is wonderful and you get filled up faster and stay satiated longer.

Highly recommend this way of eating.

I second the Everyday Paleo. The recipes are pretty easy especially once you get some of the basic ingredients. She's a busy mom so she also makes food that's not too "out there". So a lot of it is just "paleo-ing" recipes you already know and are familiar with. Plus there's stretches, exercises, ideas for kids lunches, etc. Very approachable.

I'm not paleo, but I have friends who swear by it. I love my carbs too much. Check out www.nomnompaleo.com for recipe ideas; I've tried a couple of them and they're delish

Love this site for Paleo recipes:

    http://www.thefoodee.com/

Aggregates Paleo recipes from all over the web. Really nicely presented too, I always get hungry when I hit that site.
