When I first started, they said I should eat 1800 calories per day. I recalculated after a few days and changed my goal to 2 lbs per week. That reduced my calories to 1320 per day. Since then (3 weeks) I have lost 14 lbs. Also, be very careful with portions.

i personally lost 8lbs rather quickly, however i feel like i am at a stnd stll and this is all in vein, but with the help of MFP friends and calorie counting, I am staying encouraged. I know it took years for me to get this way so it's gonna take time to get where i want to be. So I encourage you to step away from that scale, put one foot in front the other and keep pushing my friend. As im sure you know :"ome wasnt built over night"..good luck..you are more than welcome to add me as a friend if you like.0
