Any suggestions on reducing sodium or foods that are low in sodium/high in protein?

I find sodium effects me quite badly, my fingers swell so much when I eat salty things. I attempt to avoid all foods that have sugar or salt listed in the first three ingredients on the label. It seems to help me:)
As for the protein...I try to eat a protein item at every meal...sometimes it's just a few nuts...but I make sure some protein is included.
  • The less processed it is the low sodium usually.

Soups, lunch meats, microwaveable anything are on the high side

veggies, fruit, rice, pasta, olive oil, nuts and seeds, yogurt are one the low side

    High protein:

    Greek yogurt
    meats (not processed as mentioned)
    protein powders
    low sodium cheeses
    milk

    etc :]

Boars Head has a low sodium version of roast beef with 80mg sodium per 2oz, I believe. Sometimes my sodium is through the roof, like today. I don't notice the effects of it though.
