Getting New Clothes

Okay so I'm losing weight. All of my clothes are fairly big (size 18) winter clothes. It's coming into summer but I REALLY hate the the thought of buying new clothes as (hopefully) I won't fit into them next season. Even op shops ect cost at least $8+ per item and it just seems like a lot to me.

I'm just not sure what to... I know I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and buy at least 1-2 tops and shorts. But who wants to be stuck in the same outfit all Summer? Ahh I'm wrecking my brains here! ><

Try hitting some re-sale shops, they can be less expensive. See if you have any old clothes that might still fit you?
Learn to sew, you could try to hem some of the clothes you already have!
Keep an eye on sales... you can get a lot for not too much at places like Khols :D

I got rid of all my smaller clothes when I gained weight because it depressed me so much to see them and remember how nice my belly looked in them. I probably wouldn't wear them again anyway! Mainly because my belly will NEVER look good enough to be shown in public (thankyou children lol).

    I'm in Australia, sorry :)
  • Hit the thrift stores and/or buy a few key pieces of clothes to get you through this season. Just last weekend I cleaned out my closet of all of my 'fat' clothes from last fall and winter which left me with virtually nothing to work with. I work in an office and have to have professional attire and also need casual clothes. Not wanting to spend a ton of money when Im 20 lbs from my goal weight, I hit the thrift stores and found a skirt and dress and also hit a few retail stores to get some key pieces that I can mix and match to get me through. As annoying as it can be having a limited wardrobe, Im enjoying this annoyance! It just means your hard work is paying off and you will soon be at the point where you get a real wardrobe!

If you're in Aus go to Big W. they have tops and stuff real cheap. About $5 a top. Kmart and target are a bit more exy but are still somewhat cheap if you look out for sales.
