Im Carola and I recently had Hysterectomy. Because I spent 6 weeks in pain IN BED eating and not moving, Ive gain 12 pounds!! However, now that I have the ok from the doc to exercise and dont feel pain, Ive started my full fitness program with diet and exercises. I found this My Fitness Pal on my phone and I think its great to be able to keep a daily journal with my food intake and activities. Ive only lost 2 pounds on my first week, but its not too bad. im still happy for it.!
Everyday I do some kind of cardio whether its cycling, threadmill, gym cardio machine, or power walking on the beach. I also do weight trainning 3 - 4 times a week, light weights, lots of reps 2 body parts a day. And lots of abs!!!
Im eating around 1200 calories a day or less althought ive cheated a couple of times and had ice cream!! im exercising everyday so I guess I can afford a little treat every now and then :-) if youd like to join me on this let me know and we can do it together!!!

Hey Fanny - I'm Judy, from California. Sorry you had the surgery - but hopeful that it took care of whatever problems you had, and you're good (or better) than new!
After 6 wks of inactivity - your muscles are probably pretty weak. take it easy - maybe short walks several times a day. You're headed into spring, I believe, so your weather should cooperate. Eat well, drink your fluids, strt your walking slowly, maybe a little cardio as you ease back into it.
I'm on a goal of losing 20 lbs - 165 down to 145. Started mid-Sept and am losing 1 lb a week, there abouts. Slowly and being healthy. Sort of too slow for my happiness...but it didnt' jump on in 3 months, so if it takes 3-4 months to get off - and STAY OFF - I'll be happy in the end.
Welcome to MFP - add me as a friend if you'd like. Thanks. Judy0 -

Hi Judy!! thanks for replying so quick, I was editing my message to make it more exciting lol...its actually really hot up here at the moment (Broome WA) so i go to the gym to scape the heat and "free" aircon in the morning, and a nice walk on the beach with the dogs at sunset. Im feeling pretty strong now even thought ive started 5 days ago!! Thanks again for your advice!!!0
