Hello all of you fellow c25kers! I have a couple questions. My friend and I are on Week 5 and we just finished day 2, which is where you run 8 minutes walk 5 run 8. Next run is 20 minutes. Anyway, my question is did the program work for you? I find it really odd, just a couple days ago I was huffing and puffing and could BARELY breathe trying to finish the 5 minute runs, but today I did 8 minutes like I was a pro?? I'm wondering if it could be due to either of these things: We run outside & today I had a hat on and wasn't as cold. OOOOR Today I didn't have my iPhone (got stolen) and so I didn't have my c24k get running app and I didn't have the lady saying "you are half way done, 1 minute to go" etc. Did you use an app? Did you think it was annoying that they talked to you or did you find it more difficult?? Let me know. Thannnnks for the responses ahead of time.

Holy cow YES! It works and I adore the program. Stick to it and don't do more even though you may feel like you can. I went from NEVER running to graduating at the beginning of October and winning 2nd in my Age Group and beating my PR which I set during my first 5K at week 6,

I used the app but once I reached the long runs switched over to a stopwatch.

Stick to it and keep up the good work!

I am wondering if I need to stop using the talking app and just use the one that buzzes in my ear?

I started C25K week 1 day 1 last week and felt so good (built up my fitness on a cross trainer) that like a fool I went and tried day 2 the following day and failed miserably  so ive had a few days rest and its back to day 1 this morning with a rest day tomorrow
Is this app available in mp3 ? (dont have an i phone or android)

    It definately works.

I like the talking app because when I feel like I can't go any further he (I use the male voice) reminds me that there's not much longer to go, which I find helps me feel stronger and not give up. But I can see how people may find the voice annoying.

I don't think it matters if you use the app or a stopwatch as long as it works for you.

I do find the weather effects my results as well though. It gets quite hot here, and if I have to run in the sun I have to keep stopping to drink water but when I go at night or when it's raining I don't have to stop and the whole run feels easier.

But I think you must definately be getting stronger. 20 minutes will be great it's only 4 more minutes of running that what you just did :)

    Keep it up!
