Weekends and losing control

So historically my greatest issue has been lack of control on the weekends. I've been on WW for two years, but on MFP for only about a week.

I am seriously going to try to track everything I eat here on MFP. Sometimes I get the attitude that if I don't track it, I didn't eat it--not good, I know.

So I am a little angry with myself for getting into the Halloween candy yesterday and today--about 240 calories worth each day. It hurt my stomach and made me feel gross. But I am proud that I actually tracked it.

Just thought I'd put this out there to hold myself accountable.

If you lie to yourself about what you're eating, you will not get anywhere. (You know this)

Taking the initiative and making yourself accountable is the only way to get where you want to be.

Being healthy 5 days out of the week doesn't work. That means you are eating poorly and slacking over 100 days a year!
Make the change for yourself, and your family. Get motivated, stay positive, and get fit!

I feel i am the same way. I strict with logging and staying within my calorie goal during the week and then the weekend comes and i feel i can eat whatever as long as i get back on track on Monday! Sadly that has caught up with me and I am spiraling out of control..i cant seem to get a hold of eating right again!!! AHHHHH! i just dont know what to do..i mean i know what to do..i just need to get strict again..but its so hard once you've gone off the wagon.

You have to treat Sat/Sun as you do Mon-Fri....they all end in Y so they all need to be treated the same. Even if you aren't working the weekends act like you are. (food wise) Good luck to you!

Feel the same way! Weekends are hard. I got into a bad habit of dieting all through the week and undoing it all in a weekend!
I have just been trying to not be too strict but still stay within my calorie goals and track even the bad stuff on the weekend.
  • yep this has finally sunk in for me!!! need to treat weekend just the same as week days. NOT to take the easy route and have same as what others want or say............actually this probably goes for all the time (for me!!!!).

Thanks for posting this, l have got to get tough!!!! oh yes, here goes!!!

Good job! Its amazing how quickly all those little things add up. It makes you start to think "do I really want to eat this" ;)
