MFP is an awesome supporter!

Who knew a website would help you and support your weight loss? I can honestly say that I lost roughly 15 lbs back in the months of March-May, and I did not have MFP then. I did it on my own, working out every night, cutting out so many good foods and trying to watch what I ate (but never counted calories). It was a constant struggle cuz it was so hard. But I was so proud of my determination, but felt my hard work wasnt being recognized. Considering it was my first time I ever tried to lose weight, seriously, I was very self disciplined. But, of course, it didnt last long. Lets just say I was going through some complications and my weight slowly creeped back in. Who knew it'd take so long to lose that weight and yet I could gain it back in half the time???

Then, I found MFP after poking through new apps on a smart phone. Luckily, I had a good friend who I also worked with at the time, and she was aware of MFP (might I also note that she was my biggest supporter in all of this too). So I checked it out but never took it seriously. Then, I got back into it maybe sometime in September. Thats when I was finally like "I really need to start losing that weight again!" So, I started logging what I ate, and I slowly started working out again, not every night though like before. I knew I had to ease into it again, otherwise if I set myself up for a lot, I'm setting myself up to fail.

So, day by day I log what I eat, and I've gone from working out roughly twice a week to almost every night, if not every other. I take MFP very seriously and as I'm eating something I'm already thinking of the amount of calories I'm consuming and what it'll look like in my diary. My food diary is practically my Bible. I'm so glad that I know exactly how many calories I should be consuming, whereas before I had no idea. Knowing how many calories to consume makes this whole weight loss journey so much easier. It gives you grounds to start with, and knowing you can burn those calories by doing almost anything, helps too. I'm so greatful to be apart of MFP, cuz I can track what I'm eating, my exercise, the amount of weight I'm losing, AND have more friends and supporters! It truly is amazing! :) I hope everyone else begins to see that MFP can help you reach your goal weight! You have the power to do anything! :)
