The word DIET means.... DID I EAT THAT!

Many people have the misconception that this word means not eating or starving oneself to lose weight!!!!!
and I see this a lot in how people choose to use the word! Many other people use "diet" to describe a plan for weight loss, this
creates the misconception.
THE WORD DIET MEANS.... THE USUAL FOOD AND DRINK OF A PERSON OR ANIMAL!!!!l
You can choose a healthy diet or an unhealthy diet it can be to help one gain weight as well as loose or maintain a healthy weight.
A diet provides your body with the nutrients it needs to function daily. Nutritionists use "diet" to mean ALL the food you eat. Diet is not just menus for a day or week, but your usual food choices over time. Nutritionists use "diet" to mean all the food you eat good
and bad.
Some are trying to loss weight starving yourself and exercising, Please remember If you don't feed your body properly it will not work the way you want it to,
Those trying to maintain a certain weight ...if you find you are losing or gaining....pay attention to amount of calories burned do to daily activities you are probably over or under eating!
This is why they recommend seeing a physician or nutritionist to get a proper diet plan.
Me, I diet everyday, that means I eat daily, because I have MS and have problems remembering usually means.... DID I EAT TODAY!!!!!

Great post and more people need to realize this. I lose more if I eat more! Starving yourself doesn't work long-term.0
