If they're available (super short season), I'd substitute the Fuji apples for Honeycrisps. They'll make you yearn for October/November.

you may want to consider getting some fridge keepers from tupperware, yes they are expensive, but they do keep your fruit and veggies longer, so less wastage.0 -

Dried beans (so much cheaper than canned!)

Some dried fruit (not too much, I can't be trusted)
