Scale dilemma

I'm not sure what I should do. I bought a new scale today, and it reads 7 pounds higher than the one I've been using all this time. Should I just check-in with the higher weight, or should I delete all my old weight entries & use today's weight from the new scale as a brand new starting point?

read the directions and see if there is a way to calibrate it.

This happened to me a while back when I weighed myself first on my sister's digital scale, then my mother in law's digital scale. Both of them said I weighed about 5lbs more than mine. So I adjusted mine to be 5lbs over - it's still 2-3lbs off, so I just adjust accordingly. And whenever I go to my sister's or mother in law's house, I weigh myself. lol

I would try weighing yourself on a few different scales if you can, and see if there's the same difference. Just my 2 cents.

I had this issue a while back when I got a new scale. I just weighed in heavier and kinda started from scratch.

I did notice that my scale will be off when not on a perfectly flat surface. I would compare it to a 3rd scale to find out which one is inaccurate.

I just read through the booklet, it's a digital, and didn't mention a way to calibrate it. However, it does weigh the same as the one at my sister's house, and as the one at the gym

Test your scales to see if they are calibrated. Weigh something with a pound amount, to see if the scales will read the object's pound. Whichever scale gives a different reading, is not calibrated.

Ok, I decided to just start over with today's weight on the new scale as my starting weight. It's depressing to see 0 pounds lost instead of 26, but it's just a new beginning, and a new committment to staying on track
