It is more than a line on the road and we ARE more than just finishers. I hope this moves you the way it did me.

I run because I can. I am not fast but I don't care. It clears my mind and reminds me that I am alive.0

I want to run because it's cheaper than the gym and I need to lose weight.0

I run because I enjoy it, gives me time to myself, good for my body and my health, and relieves any stress I'm feeling.0

I run because I feel good afterwards. I used to run around 10k a day, but now I am more into high-intensity interval training. I just don't have as much time as before.0

I've been asked this question many times. When I run, and I can feel my heart pumping, it reminds me that I am alive. I FEEL alive. Though I feel larger than life in that moment, the beauty around me, whether it be sunshine, the ocean, falling leaves, frost on the ground, mist on the river or under the stars, I am reminded that there is something more greater than myself and it humbles me.
I can think, pray, ponder....I've even cried. The open road is my sanctuary.
