I also like Jillian Michael's 30 day shred!!!
  • There is also a great Men's Health Workout app (it's $1.99, there is a lite version if you want to try that first) that my husband has been using. He says it's great and has come home sore every time he has tried one! Good luck!

2 suggestions: Men's Health Magazine-- great info all the way around. And, www.sparkpeople.com -- has great workout info, great visuals on how to do the excercises..

I have read lots of studies on exercise and have discovered that short bursts of activity are the safest and healthiest and most effective forms of exercising --- both cardio and strength training. I recommend a book called P.A.C.E. by Dr. Al Sears. It's an eye-opening book and very helpful. And another program that I love and that really helps make you strong is 90 Second Fitness. There is a VOOK out that you can watch on your iPad and there is a regular book. The program is short and easy and very effective. There is also a 4 minute cardio workout app (actually there are four workouts in the app) and a five minute workout app. There are also some ten minute workouts. I suggest you start out with what is comfortable for you and what you will stick with. Don't do anything that will overwhelm you or be too much to keep up with.
