hey all,

so i absolutely love the gym but fainted there the other day because of stressing and wearing myself out too much, so was told by the dr i'm not allowed to go back til next week.
When I go back to the gym how much is my form gonna suck? Am I gonna still be able to lift awesome weights?

Will just one week make a difference or not really?

I think you'll be fine...just take it easy and obviously stop and rest if you start to feel weak. I feel ya though--I have had to take a week off of running because of being sick and it is driving me nuts.

You'll be fine. If you're weight training you should plan on a deload week every 8 to 12 weeks. Deload by either taking a full week off or doing 50% volume/workload for a full week. CNS needs a break as do joints/etc.

1 week won't make any difference other than you'll be frustrated and bored out of your brain!

I had to take a week off last week and went back to running on Wed as it wss driving me MAD seeing my hubby go out for a ride or his PT session while I had to sit on the lounge.

Buy yourself a good book and enjoy the rest

Please stop stressing over this! You'll be fine. Your form will be the same and I seriously doubt your strength will drop in a week. Listen to your doctor, but most importantly listen to your body!

Take the walks he suggested but just relax and enjoy a week'sbreak!

I think you will be fine! listen to your body, train two days and have a day off, and keep that routine going. I went crazy the first few weeks and just ended up sick so now I stick to that, and it seems lots of my other friends do the same, I know you've been doing it for longer, but it might work for you?
