130lbs to lose and out of motivation!

Well, that is not entirely true. I have lots of things to motivate me, but no drive to stick to it. Overeating isn't my problem. skipping meals and not exercising IS. I do well for a week or two, then I get sick, or don't get much sleep for a few days, and BANG I am back where I started. It is very depressing. I run a day home and have 3 small children. One of which has sleeping issues. I am not even close to where I thought I'd be by this time of year. Any suggestions? I know everyone has times like these, I don't mean to whine. I was just hoping someone out there had the same problems I do and overcame them.
Thanks bunches

You should try friending carolinamomma3. She has lost over 150 lbs. in less than a year and I find her to be very inspirational.

yeah it can always be rough with life dear. Simply take deep breaths and take it a day at a time. Try and make the best choices you can and don't look back, don't dwell in regrets. :) Keep pushing I know you can do this.

I am kind of in the same place. I basically blew all of September and October and maintained. I, like you, have plenty to motivate me, but no drive. I should have been more than 1/2 way to my goal by now, but I do really well and just kinda blow it. My pants are starting to get snug again and I feel horrible, so I am back at it. I think it's just going to be a daily struggle. IDK I am excited to see some of the responses you get :)
  • I am, in a way, glad I am not the only one having this "drive to succeed" issue. It makes me feel like less of an idiot. I appreciate all the words of encouragement I have received. I keep staring at the success stories and asking myself "why can't I do that?"
My husband says I can. I suppose I just have to get to the place where I believe that myself.
There are so many amazing people on here! You are all an inspiration to me!!!

May be you need a buddy! I think I am in a similar place so let's do this together. I know my hardest thing is planning meals. but that I do better when they are planned.

So you and me let's start simple by not skipping breakfast and planning it out. How about some oatmeal with nuts for protein?

I'll reply tomorrow with how I did.
  • Brilliant!
I made myself eat breakfast today! So far so good!
