I need help. I believe I have a pear shaped body and am apparently supposed to be consuming about 50% lean protiens, 30% complex carbs and 20% unsturated fats. Does anyone have any ideas WHAT I am supposed to eat to lose weight like this? I know what lean protiens are but I'm not good at picking the right carbs and stuff. HELP!

Anytime I hear a diet that says complex carb only and dictates macro splits my eyebrow generally starts twitching. Fist of all white bread, white pasta are complex carbs with a higher GI than say a snickers bar. So much for thinking a complex carb diet is better or has magical properties. Also telling someone to consume 50% protein is, in a nutshell rediculous. That woulds have me consuming 357 g's of protein and I'm 190 lbs, I don't think so. With that split and assuming 20% minimum for fats, which again saying all your fats should be unsaturated is unrealistic considering all fats in all foods have some saturated fat their basically telling you to not consume any lean animal proteins or dairy, or coconut oil for that matter. Leaving you with 25-30% carbs, which is basically considered a low carb diet............my diet is 25% carbs but my protein intake is much less conforming with most athletic nutritional advice that says about 0.8 to 1.5g's of protein depending on someones workout type and goals. For example my macro split based on my lifestyle is 35/25/40 P/C/F which I find very satiating based on the more natural diet I'm on. Again this isn't etched in stone because the simple fact is that the same results can be had with quite a variance on those macro's. Find foods that you like in all 3 macro's and try to arange them where you are getting extra protein with at least 25% fats, which is my opinion and play around with the carbs in the type and amounts that fit easily or easier for overall adherence and you should be good to go.
