Birthday Bash

So...I'm starting to put the weight back on. I'm trying to keep my motivation going, but I recently got a second job and I have very little time/energy to make healthy meals. I try to eat healthy at work, but lately I have been sooooo hungry...and the M&M's in the vending machine call my name every night around 8:00. It sucks.

BUT

I've come up with a new goal: in a little over a month, I'll be turning 23 (two days after Christmas). I weigh in at about 113 now (before you say anything, I'm only 4'11") and I would love, love, love to be at 95-100 lbs by the time my birthday came around.

So what I'm asking is...can I do it?

I need real, do-able advice on keeping myself out of the junk food gutter without feeling famished!!!

THANKS!

  • Hey Staycee!

You can do it!! I agree with the evil vending machine calling people's names! When I get the pangs .. I have fruit with me at work, or protein bars like Zone Perfect, Weight Watchers, etc. Also increasing the amount of water during those pangs have helped at times but not always .. I know this wasn't much help but that what keeps me away from those machines for the most part.

    Good Luck on your Goals!

Yes this is very do-able! You got maybe a little under two months. Staying in the healthy range of 1-2lbs/wk, some weeks shoot for 2/3. This should put you right at 100/99lbs.

Gotta be careful with the vending machines. Try to bring snacks to work with ya. As for as candy: Lemon heads and red hots are low cal candy of choice. Some people don't like it, but slim fast system always helps me when I'm busy and don't have alot of time. I also like carnation instant breakfast.

Tricks I used: 1. Always drink a glass of water before snacking to see if you still want it! 2. Share the pack of M&M with someone so I don't eat the whole pack. 3. I remind myself of exactly how much more vending machines charged compared to buying it at the store!

Good luck and Happy Early Bday - May you get double the presents and not the ole "Christmas/Bday present combo!
