Homemade Hummus Recipe
Homemade Hummus

Ingredients:
Garlic Cloves to taste (at least 3)
2-15oz cans of chickpeas (drained, with liquid set aside)
1/2 cup liquid from canned chickpeas
6 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp tahini
1/2 tbsp salt
ground black pepper to taste
3tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp curry powder (optional, be creative with additional spices)
1 tbsp oil (garnish)
1 tbsp pine nuts (garnish)
Add all ingredients to a food processor.
Blend until smoothe.
Garnish with some olive oil, and some pine nuts (optional).
Serve with warm pitas.
You can vary the spices. Check the source for pictures.

It's also really good, in my opinion, with a can of black beans added to the mix. Just drain them well and add to the mixer. They don't add much to the calories or anything and do wonders for the flavor.0

yup! You can also try fava beans if you can track them down. Its a great general recipe because you can play with it in a ton of ways. You can also remove the beans entirely and use roasted eggplant and tadaaaa, you've got baba ghanouj0 -
I make mine very similarly, but I completely omit the olive oil and I really don't miss it. I love hummus!0
