Fake Blueberries

Arrrgghh! My friend sent me this video clip that talks about these B-S processed foods that claim to have Blueberries, and show big juicy blueberries on their packaging. Most of them have LITTLE OR NO BLUEBERRIES AT ALL. In most cases they have these weird things made of sweeteners and chemical colorings to make you think there's a blueberry in there somewhere. THERE OUGHTA BE A LAW AGAINST THIS CRAP: what deceptive practices. http://naturalnews.tv/e-video.asp?v=7EC06D27B1A945BE85E7DA8483025962&s=1

So, don't fall prey to all this, look at the ingredients, don't fall for some pretty picture on the package. Also, for that matter, try to eat whole foods and reduce your intake of heavily processed foods. Best wishes to ALL you MFPers tonight!!

I thought this was common knowledge. Why would you trust the picture on the label?

There are lots of lies out there that food makers will use to convince you their products are healthy. The word "natural" is a big one. I can think of a few products that have the natural label that I really like: Skippy Peanut Butter and Ruffles are excellent examples. They contain what you would expect, without the extra crap. On other products, this is simply not the case. The only way to be sure is to read the ingredients.
