After reading through, I have to add I'm totally on board with the cowboy thing. I do like certain men in suits. They can't all quite pull that one off, though. The ones who can -- watch out!

I was enlisted Navy. Of the 4 branches of military, I think enlisted Navy got the short end of the stick when it came to cool uniforms.

Only exception would be the dress blues though (Cracker Jacks, as they were called).

Nope, not a uniform for me I like a guy in business casual wear (nice shoes are very important) and on the other hand I love a guy in a band with messy hair and a guitar, drums, microphone ect!!!

Despite saying uniforms do nothing for me, which is true of modern ones, I just remembered my husband and I went to a 1940s ball last year and he hired an original WW2 army uniform (as did some of the other men), and I did spend the evening staring at him with a lump in my throat. It was less the uniform and more the atmosphere of the whole thing, though. I kept imagining him being about to go off to war the next day, not knowing if he was coming back. It was the whole reality of what it must have been like hitting me, triggered by the uniform. But not the uniform itself as such.
