A warm welcome to everyone at MyFitnessPal.
I've been on a diet and food-conscious journey for the last 21 months. Through that journey I've lost over 150 pounds. It's been an incredible experience and every day I've learned something new about food, nutrition, and dieting.
As I skim through most post on the forum I see a lot of people asking for motivation to loose their desired, 5, 10, 50, or 100 pounds. What helped me a lot on my journey is accepting that a diet is not a temporary fix - it needs to be a lifestyle change. As for my motivation, it was always myself. I know that may sound greedy, but, when you really think about it, that statement works for almost every angle. A healthy you will ideally provide a longer and more enjoyable life to spend with your kids, loved ones, family, friends, pets, or whomever you can think of. Taking care of yourself is the key to feeling better. Once you start it's hard not to stop.
My reasons for joining this great community is that is seems like a fun to keep my lifestyle change in track. I still wish to loose some more pounds and start toning up and I like being aware of what I am consuming on an every day bases. I believe that this information alone is a critical tool that everyone should have in their success box. MyFitnessPal seems like a great community that satisfies all my request. I look forward in making myself a little more comfortable and getting to know some new friends.
Thanks to whomever took the time to read all this.
Until next time,
Eat well.
