Binging

How do you keep yourself from going overboard with sweets? Lately with Halloween I've been eating more candy than acceptable, (although by some miracle I haven't gone over my max calories) and I've found things a bit difficult.

What helps me, actually, is thinking -- (although it may seem sketchy) I don't want to be a cow. Do you actually need that candy, self? Are you hungry? Even if you are, candy is not going to help, a nice ham sandwich would fill you up. Even if you could skip a meal so you can have candy, is it really worth it? Are those empty, fat-full calories truly worth the minute they dissolve and eventually make your stomach feel wonky? Well, it's not.

The same goes with other things, chips, or just regular food... "do I really need another serving of ____? I'm not even hungry." What I also do is busy myself with an activity I can't pull away from... ex; wanna binge? Haven't had a shower yet? Go do that instead. Wouldn't you rather browse tumblr or play with your cat? Yeah, do that instead.

Bluh bluh I'm not entirely sure what the point of this was, just don't get yourself down if you mess up and overeat. There's always tomorrow, right?
