I just made these awesome cookies. I highly recommend them. I substitued Raisins for the dates. Let me know what you think.

Ingredients
3 ripe bananas
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup dates, pitted and chopped
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cooking Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Stir in oats, dates, oil, and vanilla. Mix well, and allow to sit for 15 minutes. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly brown.
Yield: 36 servings

    I replaced the oil w/peanut butter and added nuts for half the raisins. They are baking right now and the house smells wonderful.

    Wow! I will have to try these. My daughter is allergic to eggs and it so so hard to find good banana bread substitutes that are egg free. Thanks for the idea!

    Great! I shaped them into bars and had one today an hour before my bikram class. It did the trick to fill me up. It made 16 bars at about 170 calories each ... I think.
