Yes, basically eat the same exact 5 meals every day in fact.0

I usually plan out a week but with the notion that I can switch things around. This just helps me with food shopping as well as prevents me from eating something crappy.0
-
Yes I do, I log the whole days food in the morning so I know where I am at for the day! Sometimes I have to tweek it a bit tho!0
-
No,
But I make my lunch and work snacks at the same time that I make my breakfast, so I sort of "plan" those meals and snacks all at once (and log them all at once in the morning.)
I don't plan dinner beforehand, but I know from my earlier logging how many calories I have left for dinner and my evening snack (if any).0 -
It's better to plan, it can help to keep you on track. For instance if you input your desired or planned meals for the next day you won't end up only having 1/4 of an egg for dinner because you overshot your lunch/snacks.:happy:0

I loosely plan the week, for grocery store purposes.
Breakfasts I make in a big batch for the week and freeze for easy reheat .
If I know I am going out to eat or something out of my normal eating - I preplan those cals so I can eat around them .0 -
I plan all of our dinners for the week. I have a menu that I post on the fridge so nobody can ask "What's for dinner.". I also plan all of our meals on weekends. This helps a TON with not eating out and saving money on groceries. I know exactly what I need when I go to the grocery store, so I'm not just buying random things. Sometimes it's hard to come up with different ideas but in a weird way I think it's fun. I like to try at least one new recipe every week.0

every day0

I plan my breakfast, lunch & 3 snacks every night for the next day & pack them in a lunch bag with an ice pack to take to work. I cook up a whole package of chicken breasts at a time & eat them various ways throughout the week for lunch &/or dinner depending on how I feel when I get home. I try out new dinner recipes on the weekends.0

Yes........I write out all my meals and snacks on a dry erase calendar and make out my grocery lists accordingly every week. This is the only way I can stay on track!0
-
I don't but I think it's an excellent idea for those who have the desire. I think you will get far better meals and have a better handle on your daily calorie intake --- probably eat healthier. But not everyone can do it or has the desire to do it.0
-
Do it!!! It works... just check out the numbers on our tickers! lol0

I definitely plan - helps me to know what / how much more I need to eat that day to make up my 1200 calories and makes sure I don't go over during breakfast or lunch. It's easy for me though because I have the same bf/lunch every day basically and the same 5 or 6 recipes for dinner every week most of the time.0

i do a ton better on days i plan ! im gonna try to plan out my meals every day now. i do pretty good unless i eat out, then my calorie intake basically doubles... =/0

I try to plan as much as possible. I usually fill out breakfast, lunch and snacks when I pack for work in the morning (and I am saving $$ by taking food from home rather than buying and snacking all day long!) And I usually have a good idea of what we will have for dinner because I do most of the shopping.
I try to plan for my base calorie intake so that any exercise calories can be enjoyed as an extra piece of fruit or similar.0 -
I don't plan whole weeks but I do stick to a basic breakfast and lunch schedule during the workweek. If I am going to a birthday party or dinner, I will plot it out. If it is a restaurant, I go on their site and pick out my meal in the morning so I know how many calories I am working with for the rest of the day...0

I usually plan dinners about half a week at a time - for grocery shopping purposes, but I plan breakfast-lunch-snacks each night. Not intensely, I just think, this is what I will have, have I got all the ingredients? Do I need to prepare anything in advance etc and if I'm not sure about calories/serving sizes I plug the numbers into MFP to see where I stand.
It definately makes it easier if you know what you're having, because when you're hungry you're likely to go to the most calorie-laden food you can find!0 -
Yes, but I stay flexible and adjust along the way if needed.0

I spend one or two nights a week making my lunches and pre-planning my dinners for that week. I'll actually make big dinner portions (about three portions) in one sitting, then have that for lunch the following two days. I keep old-fashioned oats and loads of healthy snacks inside my "breakfast nook" at work (one of my cubicle desk drawers) for anytime I don't eat or bring breakfast, and any time I get the urge to snack anything other than fresh fruit or veggies.0

I do. I am more likely to stick to my calories if i plan. I basically eat the same thing everyday, so it makes it easy lol0

I try to do this - doesn't always work when I'm travelling for my job...0 -
I plan insomuch as i buy my 6 meals for my week, but i don't really plan what day to have what. I have dinners that vary in calories, so i eat them according to how much burn I've had that day. If it's been a slow day, 6-700 cals burned, ill have, say, my beef escalopes, whole dinner around 500 cals. If, like today, I've had a big burn, 1600 today, ill have those chicken legs with skin and potatoes with butter! 900 cals ish.0
