Ok, I have no idea if this is common knowledge, but it certainly wasn't to me!

On tonight's episode of Bones, they were testing some chocolate & lab tech said there was nothing unusual in the chocolate, just the "usual" like spider parts. :noway: Omg, so I almost threw up. This led me to the FDA website, where I learned there are bug parts, mammal excrements, & other nauseating things in most foods. The FDA allows a certain amount.

This makes me not want to eat any food!

    The FDA "allows" a certain amount because it's impossible to inspect every single cheerio in the country for a stray bug part.

    Meh. We have 10 times as many bacterial cells in our bodies than human cells--a couple of spider parts doesn't seem like a big deal.

    I'm sure no one is going to starve themselves and "eat...nothing" BUT surely not pretty picture we want to have in our minds the next time we are eating one of our favorite foods! Lol
