Okay so before you say to just drink water, I KNOW I SHOULD JUST DRINK WATER.

But I have always been a juice junkie so now I'm slowly phasing it out by mixing in with water with more and more water and less and less juice every time.

Now, to my question. V8 has the same amount of carbs, sugar, sodium and very close in calories as generic juices. Just a BIG difference in price.

Is V8 juice better for you than normal generic juices?

Nope, this reminds me of Vitamin water which is loaded with sugar

V8 makes a Diet V8 with wayyyy less sugar, calories, etc. Might be good to try those, or those little packets of Crystal Light or something.
  • I know what you mean, it seems hard to find good stuff for a lower price. But, what I've found that works is getting the little packets that you add to water, like Crystal Light, but the Great Value brand... or whatever the off brand where you are is. They're waaaay cheaper than the name brand and they make water not feel so much like water... it's kinda like a little treat that doesn't hurt you because there's only 5 calories per pack.

I definitely sympathize, sometimes it seems like I just cant drink one more glass of water - I want something with taste. And I've never liked the sugar free flavor packets (sorry, picky me) I guess the v8 fruit juices have more than one kind of juice in them, and they do run more expensive. I like to pick up the flavored seltzers - just flavored fizzy water - some people call it soda water? The flavoring is really mild and it does take some getting used to if you like the sugar free/diet drinks. I used to half juice, half seltzer. It was like making my own flavored soda. Gradually I got it down to one quarter juice, now I just like a splash of juice with it - and even developed a taste for the seltzer by itself. There are a ton of flavors here, my favorites are raspberry lime, mandarin orange, and black cherry. I always have 100% juice in the house for my toddler daughter and just buy whatever is on sale for her. It works when I want to add a little color and extra flavor to my water or seltzer. Good luck!
