Howdy! I'm Tracy.

I'm going to just copy this first bit from my first blog:
My name is Tracy. I'm a 26 year old living to Scottsdale, AZ with my wonderful boyfriend (together since 2009). I've never had a lot of luck with losing weight when I wanted... Even in highschool (a figure I actually miss) I just couldn't seem to shed weight. Now I'm older and a little worse for the wear. In highschool I was in karate and band and had a full schedule that was composed mostly of movement, but the past few years have been desk jobs and since an injury yanked me away from karate I just haven't gotten the passion for anything else. Get your neck twisted around one time, and the docs put the hault to my contact sports... Between that and the bum ankle, it's just hard to work out. I DO have an elliptical and my goal is to hop on there for 25-30 minutes 3 times a week.

I also learned that I'm getting a Kindle Fire for (early!) Christmas, so I will finally have something to WATCH when I'm on the elliptical (we never did get around to putting a TV back there and Michael has since cluttered the space with his turntable and vinyl.

I am looking for buddies on here! I feel like I have semi-valuable tid bits in my blog (I share low-calorie finds). I'm using a mixture of Eat This, Not That (you can search their website for a restaurant & they will give you a survival technique), HungryGirl (also a website & a daily newsletter sharing home made alternatives for high calorie and fatty items), and MyFitnessPal (of course!). My calorie intake has been pretty low, but please don't let that discourage you from befriending me. My stomach shrank after a bout of sickness I had and I'm only eating when I'm hungry. I've also noticed my water intake going up has also caused my food intake to go down. But, don't worry! I'm positive that once I start adding working out to the equation, it'll get back to normal. I just can't make myself eat when I'm not hungry and, honestly, 1/2 a bagel in the morning really does keep me full until lunch.

Wow, that was long. Anyone still here? :-)

Edit: I'm also implementing a guilt-free day. I eat what I want, do what I want, and I don't log a darn thing. And I've noticed I usually work that back off by Tuesday/Wednesday. It gives me something to look forward to and it's made ditching cravings a snap! I keep a little notepad on my phone as a "promise list". So if I saw a lovely cheesecake slice at the store and I really want it, instead of buying it, I write it in my notepad and promise it to myself on my guilt-free day (Saturday). Same for mom & pop restaurants since it is so hard to find accurate nutritional info for many of the places I love to eat. :-)

Welcome! I know what it's like injuring yourself and not being able to stay as active + desk job = unwanted weight. Feel free to add me!
