Need Support

Hello,
I am a 37 year old; wife, mother, and colleague. I am on a quest to lose weight and keep it off. I joined MFP back in Jan 11 and did great in the beginning, but got off track by buy a new house, moving (temporary housing), and moving again. Now I am back on track as of this week, I have joined a gym and have started working out and eating right. Problem is, I need support.
I have the support of my husband and that is awesome, but that support comes when I am home and we are together. I need support when I am not with him...like at work. My co-workers, with the exception of one or two, are not supportive at all. They want/need to lose weight, but will only talk about it and not do anything about it. It is worst when they know you are trying to eat better and workout. They will bring sweets and leave it in your office, even if you ask them not too. It is so annoying, but I feel as though they try to sabotage my progress by not being supportive. And this MUST change.
I am looking for friends on MFP because I feel I will be more successful in my journey. Thanks!!!

Hi, thats great you have the support of your husband...as for your work colleagues, just think of the looks on their faces when you reach your goal!! Have sent a friend request, Susan x0

Hi really sorry to hear you are struggling.
I have also been on here since Jan & am just a few years older than you & trying to lose 28lb. Am halfway. I also did well to start with but then hit a plateau & then put on 6lb!! Things have slowly begun to shift again ( i think!!) since i have gone back to running (fingers crossed!!) :ohwell:
Know how hard it is to find support. I don't tend to talk about it much now as unless friends are in the same boat they get bored with me moaning!! This site is brilliant for ideas, support & just generally off-loading as everyone else understands!!
Please feel free to add me & will be happy to give you some support :flowerforyou:0 -
Thanks so much for the support. You are right, if people are not in the same boat as you, they tend to not understand.0
