So, I joined Virgin Active - a really big nice gym with new equipment and that's not the point!

Anyway, in the changing rooms there are scales - i weighed myself, tells me i've lost 6lbs....I told my flatmate and she said "oh, I wouldn't trust those normal scales, last time I weighed myself on them I was actually half a stone heavier!"

Well if I'm half a stone heavier than they say, then I'd be heavier than what I was when I was weighed at the Dr's!!!!

Do you think normal (non electric) scales are wrong?? I figured they wouldn't be, being in a changing room in a good gym n'all...now I'm scared to weight myself on the electric ones!!!!!!! In case, some how, after dieting for over a month, I've put on a POUND.

Nooooooooooooooo

  • Traditional scales (non-electric ones) can be inaccurate too.
    Bummer, I know.
BUT...there is an upside...always weigh yourself on the same scale, that way...even if you're not getting the most accurate number, you're still getting a reasonably accurate representation of your progress.
