Another HRM question...

Just purchased a heart rate monitor recently, and I've got a question.....
Ok, when do you quit counting calories burned after a workout?
After the workout itself?
After cooldown?
Or after your heart rate goes back down towards the normal range?
THANKS :-)

I stop my HRM after I have completed my workout itself. Generally that is the best burn because your heart rate is at its peak.0 -
After your cool down most hrm will let you know if you do not cool down long enough.0

I start mine the second I press start on the treadmill and stop it once i sit down in my car. I literally leave the gym within 1 minute of finishing my workout.0
-
I'm currently doing the C25K program so I push start @ the beginning of my warm-up and press stop @ the end of my cool-down.0
-
Personally, once I stop moving, I turn it off. I'm probably still burning, but I'd rather be under than over.0
-
I stop mine as soon as the rate drops out of the lowest range or if it gets under 100bpm.0

Thanks for the feedback everyone! My HRM automatically stops counting calorie burn once the heart rate gets to a certain point, so I wasn't sure whether to go with that or not? I've been using that # when logging my exercise on MFP, but I was worried that I would be messing with my calorie intake numbers? Of course that number is not a huge difference from what it is once I've finished my cooldown- maybe 20-30 cals or so?0
