Im going to cry!! I weighed in at 129.0 this a.m., oh Lord thank You and all the people here especially edie(nwfamilygal)!!!!!!!!:drinker: :drinker: :drinker: And fitness_chic for teaching me to drink water!!!!!!!!
I have lost 8 lbs now, The last time I weighed it was 130.2 so I actually lost a little more this last week!! I am starting to lose a lb more often now that I drink enough water and don't eat more than 50-75% of my extra calories, and.............I go over atleast 2-3 days a week but only by about 100-150 cals. Not on purpose either. I think that the fluctuation in calories is good for my body, obviously. Also, tons of energy, no illness(colds etc) I feel 40 years old and I am 56!!!!!!!!!!! Actually, I don't think I ever felt this good since even when I was a kid, though I was active, I suffered with asthma and migraines. So I can honestly say I feel better physically, than I ever have:drinker: :drinker:
Edie and I are starting to work out on our upper bodies as well, with weight-training/muscle building:bigsmile: We are going to get "ripped":drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

Congratulations!!! Way to Go!
Perhaps you could help me! I am 58 years old (most , as you noticed are younger on this site) and I have been at it HARD for quite some time. I just finished P90X 3 month program and am now doing Hip Hop Abs plus some daily P90X routines. Usually, I exercise 1 1/2 hours per day. I've been eating good and logging everything - and stay around 1200 calories per day. I was eating all my exercise calories but that wasn't working for me. I try to burn 400 to 500 calories per day exercising.... I've been at this very steady since before September. Here's the thing
I've only lost 3 lbs!!! I am so discouraged I'm ready to throw the towel in.
Thought maybe you might share your exercise experience with me ---- I would DIE to lose 8 pounds! At my age, I just thought it was my metabolism that was so slow.....
Help me if you can!!!!! (p.s. I do drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day - used to drink unsweetened ice tea and quit that entirely).....
Thanks,
Carol0 -
Congrats!!! That is great news You must be so proud of yourself0

Hey sis, might have some input for you to consider trying k?? More water, I drink 96 oz. per day. I learned this from Fitness chic who drinks a lot of water and look how well she has done!!! Also, If you burn 4-500 calories a day, 1200 is way to low to eat. We have to fuel our bodies. I'll write you at your mailbox here and tell you more and share the helpful articles the gals here have given me:)
