Well that was a really awkwardly-put phrase.
Today I ran up and down 5 flights of stairs for 10 "laps" - took me about 23 minutes because at the top and bottom I crossed over to a different stairwell. I forgot my HRM so I really don't know what my HR was...what would you classify this as? I'm not sure if I should put "stair climbing" or whatever since half the time I was actually descending. What do you think?

I would count it as stair climbing for sure. Even on the down streches you were still moving and still keeping your HR up.0
