I'm getting so tired of my boring work out routine of treadmill jogging. I'm just curious if anyone has any ideas of things I can do to keep myself from getting so BORED! (Also, my ipod is le broken and I am too broke to buy a new one, which doesn't help when you have an attention span as short as mine...)
Also, I'd sort of like to be able to see my muscles. I'm losing some inches and pounds, but my muscles are all still hidden under a layer of fat!! It won't go away!

Start a strength training program. Whole body 3 days a week.

    This. :)

And cardio doesn't have to be boring either. Try a cardio kickboxing class or Zumba. I do 3 weight training sessions per week and my cardio varies from day to day. I run, do the step mill, or the above classes. Body pump is also fun, like a cardio type circuit training class.

Is there a specific program that I should look at? I really have absolutely NO idea about strength training. Are there any good websites or anything to help newbies figure out what is going on?

Thanks so much, by the way.

There are lots of different plans and routines on bodybuilding.com and they also show you the proper form for various exercises.

You could just make your own routine if you pick 1 exercise per body part (chest, back, shoulders, biceps, triceps, quads, hams, calves, abs) and do 3 sets of each exercise with about a minute rest in between, that's about an hour workout there.

Cool! I'll just have to bust out the radio and kick my own butt!
