Making out my food diary for the day. Having a hard time getting enough calories and still staying within my goals for protein, sugar and sodium. Any suggestions?

Protein is set really low on here, so i woudlnt worry about that. as for the sugar, is it natural fruit sugar or sugar from processed stuff?0

Do your best to avoid processed foods and eat as much raw/home prepared stuff as you can - makes it much easier to tailor-make your meals. also, bear in mind that fruit sugars are better for you than processed sugars, thus it's better to go over on fruit than on cake or ice cream.
Hope that helped a little bit.0 -
Protein is completely fine to go over, I encourage it! Sugar is just a carbohydrate and a waste of time to track IMO
as for sodium, the lest processed the lower sodium :] I don't have blood pressure problems so i don't worry too much since I am very active0 -
having looked at your diary my advice is eat more unless your not logging everything, i went back 4or 5 days and on some your not even eating 950 cals 1200 is the min for a small sedentary woman and your exercising!
you are harming your body when you don't fuel it properly ! you would no put a liter of fuel in your car if you where driving round all day.
be good to your self eat!!
good luck on your journey0 -

Couldn't agree more with this post. You really should be eating more girl!
If you eat too low of calories you are going to increase your muscle loss. This results in skinnyfat... not attractive0 -
Those are minor details. Don't worry about those, focus on the calories.0

Thanks everyone for your advice. I will add some more lean meats and fruits in then to up my calories. All the sugar I eat is pretty much from raw fruits, and all my protein is lean. Sodium though I really want to keep below 1,500 mg. As for today, no I wasn't done yet. That was as far as I got in order to stay within other limits, so I thought I would post this to get some advice. As for the other days, I have a really hard time eating that many calories. I mean, I eat 3 full means and I snack all day. I even pack a lunch box with me when I go anywhere full of fruits and veggies. I just cut out all the bad foods, and I know you are supposed to eat so many calories each day, but I don't see the point in adding a bunch of food to make it up, when I'm not hungry.I hate that they call it "starvation" mode, because I don't ever even feel hungry though-out the day, if you look at my snacks, you can see I am always eating..I just eat really good things. Any advice there?0

What about adding some almonds? I see you eat peanut butter. Maybe that will help a little. I love almonds as my go to snack.0

Almonds is a great idea, Thanks! Right now I'm sticking with what I have in my house, because I'm kind low on funds until Monday (my usual shopping day) but I will definitely put that on the list for groceries next week I was able to add more to my diary with all of your advice. I still am not to 1,200 but I'm over 1,000 calories. I went over in my sodium a little, but it was unavoidable. Also over in protein and sugar, but like most of you said if it is sugar from fruits and protein not from processed foods, I should be fine. Anyways, thanks again everyone!!0

My calorie range is anywhere from 1100-1700 calories during the week. Typically I average a good 1200-1400 calories.
I try to keep my NA around 1500 if possible...it averages out during the week. I watch my calcium and try to drink my milk.
As for the sugar amounts, I am ignoring this one...I haven't figure out this one yet.
I love fruits and vegetables, my water intake is good. I have lost 20 pounds since the end of August.0
