Looking for input from Experts

I've been losing weight steadily for a while now, until October 29. I weighed in the 18th at 116.8, after spending a few days around that weight. Saturday my weight had jumped to 118.0, and it's been up since then. My weigh in on the 5th was 118.0, and today I'm up to 118.8, so I fear my weigh in tomorrow will be another gain. It's even jumped as high as 119.8 during the week. I haven't changed my eating habits at all. I run 4 days a week, and I've recently started running a bit more, and a bit harder, but not every time. At first I thought maybe I was retaining water as my muscles healed, but now I'm not sure. (I'm very short, just so the lower numbers make sense)

I'm stuck and a little frustrated. Looking for some advice from seasoned experts. I know I don't always eat the healthiest, but it's been like that from the start, so I'm not sure it would be any issue now. I don't normally eat out, but I did two nights ago, so I'm WAY over calories that day.

Also, My TOM isn't until early next week, and I've never gained from that two weeks before starting.

I am more than willing to cut out more of the junk if that's needed.

everyone is going to ask to unlock your diary, so we can get a better look at what and how much you are eating. you will probably need to cut out the junk. remember, this is 80% nutrition.

but fluctuating a few pounds is normal. the body changes a lot day to day, week to week. i think it's better to focus on a range weight that you would like to be.

and you probably need to change your work outs. maybe do longer endurance runs, coupled with shorter speed runs. try lifting if you don't already. and keep very very accurate notes. that which gets measured, gets improved.

Oops, I thought it was public. Unlocked it.

I don't think much about the fluctuations, just the downward trend. Honestly I'm just content with being able to run again. I just don't want to gain the weight back.

Looking at your diary, you eat a lot of chocolate and cookies. As well your sodium is extremely high and that will cause you to retain water.

Stick with clean food... it is not just about how many calories you eat but what kind of calories you eat.

Fresh fruits, veggies, lean meats whole grains and keep your sodium below 2000. MFP sets it too high. As well drink lots of water

i stayed at 222 pounds for the last three weeks i think. this morning i was 221. the trick is to eat right, work out regularly, and not weigh in every day.

I do eat lots of cookies, when they're in the house. I made some last Saturday with my niece. I'll try to work on the sodium, didn't know it was too high.

Maybe I had just gotten too lax on the fresh foods and hadn't noticed.

I have a garden, so I have lots of fresh foods, and try to only keep whole grains in the house.

The other thing I noticed is your protein is very low. You need to get a lot more protein. If you are not a big meat eater, try whey protein, egg whites or nuts

I was thinking of getting protein powder. My stomach has been really irritated lately. I used to eat a lot more. My husband hunts, so I have lots of very lean venison in the freezer. Just haven't been able to eat it lately.
