I really can't afford a whole new set up, and all the stuff that I've read says that just a new battery replacement costs $30 bucks. Does anyone know for sure if its possible to just get a new battery and do it yourself? We're pretty handy.
Recap: Polar F6 HRM - Can I change the battery myself for the watch?
Add me as a friend! Thanks!

I have an Polar FT4 and I took the battery out and searched it on the web. I got 8 batteries for $6 and they were sent to my house in a few days. My older Polar HRM you had to mail it back to them to replace and it was very expensive. Hope this helps.

Went to Radio Shack and the dude said he could not take it apart because he would be liable if it wasn't water proof anymore. I said ok and walked back to the car. Told my husband (who i think is sick of hearing me whine about this dilemma, lol!) and said give me it and walked inside, about 15 minutes later he emerged with a working HRM and 2 extra batteries for $10! He demanded the tool and did it himself in the front of the guy. SSooo yahhh! HRM is back up and running! :) Thanks for the replies!
