Should I reset my ticker?

I started MFP Jan 2011 and lost 45lbs. I took the summer off so to speak and gained 16lbs back. So I am back at this. My ticker says that I have lost 27lbs which is true from Jan but should I reset it from when I started back? Thank you!

Do wish ever one you feel is more comfortable for you. :) Well done on the earlier loss :)

it's your choice Sarah, mine is still set from jan since I started then and never stopped and don't plan to

Mine is staying at my starting weight, heaviest ever. I've been pretty steady at my current weight for 3 months now and it's getting old. I "need" that reminder of how far I've come!

Its up to you, but I never reset my ticker, if I gain it just takes off my my loss. I want to know my over all loss in the end.
If you find resetting it hurts you in your motivation for further loss then I would keep it.
Just see what motivates you more to loose.

  • I agree - it's your choice - I have thought about doing the same thing - I reached my goal but put about 10 - 15 lbs back on over the summer and am back on a diet to get them back off - so not sure - maybe adding a second one? Can you do that?
