Should I reset my ticker?

I started MFP Jan 2011 and lost 45lbs. I took the summer off so to speak and gained 16lbs back. So I am back at this. My ticker says that I have lost 27lbs which is true from Jan but should I reset it from when I started back? Thank you!

Do wish ever one you feel is more comfortable for you.
Well done on the earlier loss

it's your choice Sarah, mine is still set from jan since I started then and never stopped and don't plan to0

Mine is staying at my starting weight, heaviest ever. I've been pretty steady at my current weight for 3 months now and it's getting old. I "need" that reminder of how far I've come!0

Its up to you, but I never reset my ticker, if I gain it just takes off my my loss. I want to know my over all loss in the end.
If you find resetting it hurts you in your motivation for further loss then I would keep it.
Just see what motivates you more to loose.

I agree - it's your choice - I have thought about doing the same thing - I reached my goal but put about 10 - 15 lbs back on over the summer and am back on a diet to get them back off - so not sure - maybe adding a second one? Can you do that?0
