whats your waist/hip ratio? Im just curious.

I currently have 25.5in waist and 41.25 hip putting me at 0.618. Im trying to work off my hips to bring me closer to the healthier 0.7 (according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waist–hip_ratio , which Im well aware isnt gospel). But it does make me feel good to know my ratio is close to Marilyn Monroe's :) I'll take that for now

my hips have always been exactly 10 inches bigger than my waist, i think my ratios like .999 or something crazy like that

I have a waist to hip issue too..but I'm at work and dont' know my measurements off hand. From memory, around 42 (hips)and 32 (waist) My hips can't get much smaller (huge baby making hips I have; can only lose about 1-2 inches probably), but my waist NEEDS to come down 25 or 26 (where it was in high school).

So..if it makes you feel better..you're measurements are what I WANT!!! Nothing wrong with some curves!! :) I'm personally happy with my body type..I just want to tone up and not see so much flab!

I think I'm spoiled, 29 waist 40.5 hips, last check.7160. I do want smaller hips and waist, so I'm going to keep working at it. All in moderation. Good luck, you will do great.

My hips and chest area are about the same (within an inch) and my waist is about 10 inches smaller.
  • I just had a trainer take measurements this morning so that I could learn to do it :)

    WHR: .75
    BMI: 17.3
Body Fat with Calipers: 9.9% (I didn't believe him so we did it twice, probably higher but within the range)
