I have an irrational fear of squirrels that come indoors, rats & possums. We have a squirrel that lives in our ceiling in the cold months. All morning he has been running around above my desk, it is driving me crazy. But I guess it is better than Tuesday when he was running around the office. I have a picture from last year, he collapsed on the lighting fixture above my desk. For efficiency reasons, they have replaced all of the lights on my floor so I can’t see him anymore but he is like a mad man up there. Oh well, thanks for listening, it feels better to complain a bit. And can you tell that I am procrastinating?

Ha, me too! I thought it was about babies!!! lol! We have hamsters at home, my eldest daughet gets spoilt (because she feels left out sometimes) and has hamsters. I'm not that keen on those either!

We were in FL about 5 years ago. In the hotel we had one room with two bedrooms. I sat awake and upright the second night due to something in the ceiling running around....sounded like a herd running up there....scared the heck out of me. I woke Phil up and told him...as usual he thought I was full of crap...but I didn't let him go back to sleep. So we sat there together...then next day I went to the office and told them...they said it was probably an iguana...I don't care if it's a rat, bat, snake, mouse or iguana get it out of the room! So they gave us an addition suite. That night once again the race was on over in the new room also! Went back and told the owner about it....they decided they'd set traps to catch it....for cry'n out loud another night with the dang thing running around...probably sizing me up to eat me... lol The next day the ground keepers came over and showed me what was up there.... it had a long nose, big teeth and looked like a HUIGE rat.... Comforting :) NOT

So when we got home I figured alls safe.....NOT We were sleeping and I was swooshed and could feel the wings beating by my ear as well as the air movement! A BAT was in the house....nothing like your husband in his underwear up swinging a broom at the bat to catch it.....lol

All I can say is.....Marlin Perkins would be proud of our Wild Kingdom travels and home ;)

If you can catch him, he is all yours.

Trying to think of cute stories about babies now...

Once a flying squirrel "broke into" my place and I must say, it was one of the coolest things ever. I had never seen one in my entire life but had always wanted to.

I kept him for a little while before letting him go outside (this, on the advice of a local wildlife rescue place that I called).

It was a good thing that the little guy broke in prior to my cats coming into the picture - otherwise it might have been a whole different outcome!
  • LOL! If it makes you feel better, I have a totally irrational fear of rabbits. They just freak me out!
