Last squat 235 lbs. 5x5 at 266 lbs. Bodyweight.
Howdy. Anyone else out there found the prophet, Mehdi?
I survived my first 12 weeks without any stalls. I'm currently in week 13 and I just had my first stall last night on the overhead press. I'm pretty bummed out. I'm trying to lose major weight at the same time so I knew going in to expect lots of stalls, but still a bummer. I just had a flu shot the day before, so that may have contributed some. Also just the thought of a bar with two 45 lb plates propped up above your head is pretty intimidating, especially when you don't have a spotter.
I'm thinking about taking a break for maybe a week or two though. I've got some healing to do. I have an overstretched left shoulder, an overstretched right calf and a little bit of soreness in my right wrist. Could some time off do me some good or harm any process I've made? What about when I come back to it? Should I deload and ease back in or just pick up where I left off?

After 13 weeks of 5x5, if you followed it and made the big gains your CNS is gonna be taxed. I suggest 4 weeks of rest, just do bodyparts, keep stuff in the 8-10 range. After 4 weeks, start again and be amazed. I ran two 13 week sessions doing this and my bench went from 315 to 405, unassisted, squat from 235 to 315 (bad knee so I will never squat 455 again) and my deads went up to 485. Take your time 5x5 is a proven system. The overheads I didnt do, prefer the deadlift, but same advice, rest after the program.

Thanks, man. I'll give that a shot.
