It does take a while before you start enjoying your runs but you will get there. What worked for me is to never compare myself to anyone else. This was for me and only me!
I actually got much better at running when I slowed down. Your speed will come eventually but at first just slow down and try to increase your time a little bit at a time.
Positive thoughts really really help too. I think about the people I love the most while I run. (sappy but true!)0
