I DO! I would love having a partner to help keep me motivated, and me do the same for them. I am a stay at home mom who has serious spinal issues. It is SO hard to stay motivated. It's like this~some days I am ok and can get a work out, but other days when I get started it just seems too easy to sit back down and GIVE UP. I never get enough consistant workouts to lose any weight. I do not want to give up anymore. I want and NEED to lose 60 pounds and would love to find someone who has about the same goal to help me/me help them stay motivated. Maybe exchange numbers and nag each other? :D Really, a workout partner would be great, but I don't know if there is anyone in the Virginia Beach area on here. It really don't matter...either way I joined this site today because I just need some motivational HELP! :)

I know what you mean. You just have to tell yourself stop being lazy and there is no excuses. And, I am telling myself that right now. So, I better get to the gym right now and stop being lazy. lol

If I lived in VA Beach, I would be walking every day with you... But I live in AZ.

Today is a hard day for me too. I've been really motivated thus far. I am not a fan of exercise either, but I know when I do it I feel better. So that keeps me going.

Good luck, I hope you can find someone. Maybe post a title saying "anyone in VA Beach" ?? maybe you will get a response:)

You are not alone! and welcome to MFP:)

  • thank you! :) i am in chronic pain and the meds i take DO NOT help me with needing motivation...believe me when i tell you that taking dopey pain meds don't help to get my *kitten* of the couch! but i am still going to keep trying...and hope i can find someone to help with motivation. i know that ultimately it is only ME who can get me up and going, but it helps to have someone who is fighting the same daily battle with their weight to help in the blah times of laziness or lathargy...
